What is CloudMemory™ and how is it different from SmartFoam™?
SmartFoam™ is Rove Lab's proprietary high-density foam base — engineered for durability, shape retention, and long-term support. CloudMemory™ is a dedicated memory foam layer added on top of the SmartFoam™ base exclusively in the S8 Plus. With density 40 and firmness 20, it provides pressure relief for shoulders and hips, reduces motion transfer when sharing the bed, and adapts to your body instead of pushing back.
Can I remove and wash the cover?
Yes. The S8 Plus cover is fully removable and machine washable. Simply unzip, remove, wash, and put it back on. No special care required; designed for families, pets, and real life.
What size sheets fit the S8 Plus mattress?
The S8 Plus sleep surface is King-compatible — 76" × 80" — so you can use any standard King-size sheets. No special sizing needed.
What are the new seasonal colors available?
The S8 Plus launches with 4 new seasonal colors: Atmos Teal, Ochre Horizon, Cosmic Wine, and Umber Mars, alongside the existing 5 colors: Terraform Green, Nebula Blue, Lunar Dune, Dark Matter, and Comet Ivory.
What is the mattress height on the S8+?
The S8 Plus mattress measures 21cm in height (each mattress) + 2 cm in total on the sofa, thanks to the added CloudMemory™ layer. The compact fold and overall footprint remain unchanged.
What's the difference between the S8 and the S8+?
The S8+ is a meaningful upgrade to the S8 you already know, same compact design, same tool-free assembly, same footprint. The key differences: the S8+ adds a CloudMemory™ foam layer on top of the SmartFoam™ base for a noticeably more comfortable sleep surface, includes a fully removable and machine-washable cover, and introduces 4 new seasonal colors.
Is the S8 Ottoman sold separately? Does it match the S8 Plus colors?
Yes, the S8 Ottoman is sold separately as an add-on piece. It is available in all S8 Plus colors, both existing and new seasonal, and features no metal frames, keeping the same aesthetic and feel as the sofa.
Can I use my existing S8 cover on the S8+?
The S8 Plus has a slightly different seat width (+3cm) compared to the S8 Standard. We recommend using the cover designed specifically for your model to ensure the best fit and finish.
What is the height of the S8+ sleeper sofa bed?
When fully expanded, the total height is 74cm/29.1″ —measured from the bottom to the top of the backrest. As for the seat height, the couch measures 44cm/17.3'' —the distance from the bottom to the seating surface.
Do I need tools to assemble my S8+ Sleeper Sofa Bed?
No. The S8+ Sleeper Sofa Bed is designed for tool-free assembly. Simply unbox each module, let it expand, and connect the pieces using the built-in YKK zippers. The modules lock together securely, so setup is quick, simple, and easy to do on your own.
How do I clean the S8+ sleeper sofa bed?
The S8+ cover is fully removable and machine washable — unzip, wash, and put it back on. For everyday spills on the fabric, Performance Corduroy™ repels liquids, giving you time to blot with a clean cloth before they soak in.
If a spill occurs, quickly blot the area with a clean, absorbent towel or cloth. If any marks remain, gently dab the area with a soft cloth dampened with warm water until the stain is removed.
How much weight can it support?

The couch-in-a-box experience transforms a full modular sofa bed into compact, vacuum-packed boxes designed to fit through elevators, narrow doorways, tight hallways, and smaller spaces with ease.

Yes. The S8+ Sleeper Sofa Bed is upholstered in spill-proof fabric that helps protect against everyday accidents, giving you more time to clean up spills and making everyday maintenance effortless.
What is covered by the warranty?
The Rove Lab warranty covers everything. Rove Lab offer a 3-year warranty with free replacement coverage for eligible products.
For SmartFoam™ products beyond the initial 3-year warranty period, customers may still qualify for a replacement by covering only 50% of the current retail value. This replacement program helps cover shipping and handling costs, allowing customers to receive a brand-new Rove Lab couch at a significantly reduced replacement cost.
Are your fabrics PFAS-free?
Yes. All of our performance fabrics are completely PFAS-free. The spill-resistant treatment uses a fluorine-based polymer waterproofing technology that is PFAS-free certified by United Testing Services (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. This technology helps repel everyday spills while remaining safe for both people and the planet.
